After a number of weeks of having “The Reel Show: Take Two” on the back burner, myself and Charlie Webb along with the very talented Bruno Gonta sat down and done a spot of editing. Having two decent takes of the show with neither hitting what we envisaged directly on the head, we cut the two together taking the best bits of both to make a smooth cohesive end product. This was actually easier said than done due to the way the two takes we’re produced and the lack of having ‘rushes’ of each camera proved problematic, seeing that we had nothing to cut over any mistakes in the footage. The project is almost completed at a near 30 minutes running time and will be hitting shops near you rather soon…PAH!
The project as a whole was rather fun, however, extremely stressful as numerous considerations had to be taken into account as not only did the content and technical aspects have to be thoroughly examined, but psychology also had to be looked at. Personally, I consider Man Management to be of high importance as the way that teams perform together have a ridiculously large impact on the final outcome. Being the figure able to delegate tasks in this project it was important for this to be done in a clear and coherent manner, combined with a pleasurable tone as then your subordinates in the task are less likely to resent you and the project compromised.
